Healthcare Workers’ Experiences of Strategies in Caring for Patients with Obesity: A Qualitative Content Analysis

Background: Healthcare workers try their best to deal with the challenges of caring for patients obesity (PWO). However, no study has addressed strategies used in taking care PWO. workers’ experiences these can facilitate patients. Objectives: This aimed explain healthcare Methods: A conventional content analysis (Graneheim and Lundman’s approach) was conducted during 2018-2021. total 25 personnel (including nurses, physicians, nursing assistants) who experienced working PWO at least three years two large teaching hospitals Iran were selected by purposeful sampling. Semi-structured interviews collect data MAXQDA software (version 10) analyze them. Results: The findings introduced help-seeking provide as most important strategy four categories included performing clinical procedures, general assistance, patient’s treatment course, patient safety. Conclusion: workers, particularly seek help from others meet all needs better negative consequences themselves.
